ULYSSES OWENS, Jr., a Grammy-winning drummer who The New York Times has said, “ balances excitement gracefully and shines with innovation.” 

Ulysses has gained special attention for his performances on GRAMMY Award-winning albums by Kurt Elling and The Christian McBride Big Band . In addition to five Grammy nominated albums with Joey Alexander, Christian McBride Trio, John Beasley’s Monk’estra and Gregory Porter.

BEN WILLIAMS won the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition IN 2009. He has performed/recorded with such giants as Pat Metheny, George Benson, Stefon Harris, David Sanborn, Lauryn Hill, Wynton Marsalis, Robert Glasper, Maxwell, and Nicholas Payton. In 2013 and 2015 Williams received the DownBeat Magazine Critics Poll Rising Star Award for Bass.

MIKE COTTONE has performed and toured with Postmodern Jukebox, Bette Midler, Blood Sweat and Tears, Ebi, Gwen Stefani, Don Henley, Dylan Chambers, Casey Abrams, The Marias, the Eagles, and Booker T.

JORDAN SEIGEL has played with such acclaimed artists as Peter Erskine, Jeff Hamilton, Graham Dechter and the Bill Holman Big Band, and performing on such prestigious stages as Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Playboy Jazz Festival and the Beantown Jazz Festival. In addition to his extensive scoring and arranging for film and TV, he has played piano on Glee, The X Factor, The Simpsons, The Morning Show, The Bob’s Burgers Movie, Deadwood: The Movie, and Perry Mason. He is also the featured pianist for the various new Apple TV+ Peanuts series, following in the iconic footsteps of Vince Guaraldi.

We have kept the ticket prices low, so everyone can afford to attend, but to break even, we will need help with donations, which are tax-deductible (confirm with your tax preparer). The donation section in the form below is just after the section where you select how many tickets are are purchasing.

If you make a donation and would like to download a Donation Receipt for you tax records, you will find a download link in your receipt.

The concert will be presented in the 3rd floor Centennial Ballroom of the Los Angeles Athletic Club. Parking Garage entrance: 646 South Olive Street L.A. 90014.

An optional Champagne Brunch will be served from 11:00 to 2:00 PM, in the Invention restaurant (on the same floor as the concert) with the concert following, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
