On August 23, the “Sunday Afternoon Jazz in the Ballroom” series features a rare L.A. concert appearance by singer NIKI HARIS, favorite of the Jazz Cruise, 18 years singing with Madonna, and daughter of jazz great, Gene Harris!

Niki will be backed by her pianist, Mitch Forman (John Scofield, Diane Schuur, Gary Burton , Pat Metheny, Wayne Shorter, Stan Getz, Astrud Gilberto, Freddie Hubbard, Bill Evans, and Ricki Lee Jones), and horn legends Rickey Woodard (sax with Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, BB King), and Nolan Shaheed (trumpet for Ellington, Basie, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Diana Ross and Phil Collins)!
Tickets are only $25 to attend in person, $15 for the livestream and for students. LAAC members receive a 20% discount.
The concert will be presented in the beautiful Centennial Ballroom at the classic Los Angeles Athletic Club in downtown. The parking garage entrance is at 646 South Olive Street 90014. Parking is $10 with validation.
Optional brunch/cocktails are available before the concert, just note on the ticket form whether you want to come for brunch.
We also welcome you to join us after the concert for American Songbook jazz and dinner that night, 6:00 to 8:30, but for that you do need reservations. There is only a $10 cover charge for non-members, and no minimum!
