Here are my recommendations for completing the ticket form:

1. Be patient. You are not stupid. The form maker might be, but he has tried his best, so please bear with him.

2. Many of the form’s fields reveal themselves as you answer the questions. So, answer the questions in the exact order they are asked.

3. When you have completed all the data fields, entered your credit card information, checked the “I Am A Human” box, and hit Submit, it will take a few seconds for the transaction to be processed, then one of two things will happen:

If everything worked, the screen will scroll up and you will see confirmation of your purchase in a big, white box. You should also receive an email confirmation a few minutes later.

If the transaction did not work, the screen will jiggle a little, but you will not see the white Confirmation box. This most likely means you have not completed a required field. Look carefully through the form for the error message: “YOU ARE REQUIRED TO FILL IN THIS FIELD (ANSWER THIS QUESTION)!!” Complete that field, and try to Submit again (you might have to check the “I Am A Human” box again). If there is still a field you have not completed, look for that error message again, and complete that field.

4. If you are getting too frustrated, text/call me, Dave Ross, at 562 438-1000, and I will be more than happy to help you. Helping you will help me feel less bad about having created a complicated form.

5. Upon receiving the confirmation message that your ticket transaction was successful, feel like a patient genius who has made a form-challenged jazz concert promoter a little happier.

HERE WE GO!

Tickets are $50/person, $15/student, or $15 to view the Live Stream. The different ticket options reveal themselves as you complete the form, so please complete each data field in sequence. If you have any questions, click on the Live Support button (lower right), or email: Dave@JazzSalon.org.

There will be no paper tickets issued. After your purchase, your name will be added to the check-in list. If you are purchasing tickets for just one concert, be sure you enter the names of everyone in your party below, so we can make check-in easier. Thank you.

For nearly 20 years, Betty Hoover presented Jazz at the A Frame in her home in the Hollywood Hills. In the process, she created a community of jazz lovers and musicians, who loved the A Frame jazz series, with its informal intimacy, and friendships, and loved and revered their dear friend, Betty.

When Betty retired, she gave me her list of supporters and I promised to continue to present the kind of concerts Betty would have loved.

Mary Stallings is my favorite singer of the American Songbook. In the tradition of Nancy Wilson and Dinah Washington, Mary sings like a jazz musician, shaping every phrase, every word, every note with the deepest feeling of jazz and life. Among her many honors, Mary was only the second woman to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the world’s oldest jazz festival in San Sebastian.

Houston Person was known for years as the producer behind multi-Grammy nominated Etta Jones. He has been the bandleader on over 70 albums, including duets with both Ron Carter, and John Clayton!
